Wet Sump Road Race Oil Pans (SBF 289/302 & 351W)

AVIAID began fabricating wet sump road racing pans in the very early 1960 s. As the original fabricators of Chevrolet pans for Formula 5000 and Can-Am, AVIAID fabricated the original 289 and 427 Cobra pans, GT-350 R model, A and B Production Corvette pans, and Mustang and Camaro Trans Am pans. We continue to manufacture these pans, as well as many others, improving their capabilities to the limits of dry sump abilities. All pans are built on new pan cores. All buckets and components are punched and bent on CNC equipment. Pans are TIG welded, exteriors are gas welded. All pans are complete assemblies, including interior windage trays and scrapers. FOR 4 BOLT #5 MAIN CAP BLOCKS! Above is a photo of how the #5 rear main cap on a block with all 4-bolt main caps can be machined to accommodate a custom pan fabricated on a stock pan core. We recommend Felpro 4 piece oil pan gasket sets, 1809 for 302, 1810 for 351. Apply a 1/4' bead of clear silicone sealant to both sides of gasket. The pan cores we use with the ribbed pan rail are generally not designed to be used with 1 piece gaskets.

SBF - 289/302, Specifically built at 6-1/2" of depth for De Tomaso Mangustas fitted with the Ford 289/302 small block engine. The standard complement of AVIAID road race oil pan features, including diamond position 4 door pickup trap assembly, bolt down windage tray/slosh baffle, weld in lip scraper and custom pickup complete a Mangusta chassis specific full road race oil pan, the most one can get short of an AVIAID Mangusta dry sump system. REQUIRES STOCK DIPSTICK INSTALLED THROUGH TIMING COVER HOLES.

SBF - 289/302 7-1/2" deep Sunbeam Tiger, the only full road race prepared sump built specifically for the 260/289 Sunbeam Tiger. Features a 4 trap door pickup box assembly in a diamond position centered in the sump. Directional separators guide oil into the trap doors during vehicle operation. Bolt down windage tray/slosh baffle on top of trap assembly restrains and directs oil into the pickup box assembly. A custom pickup and welded in scraper complete the package. As much oil control as can be fitted into a Tiger chassis. REQUIRES STOCK DIPSTICK INSTALLED THROUGH TIMING COVER HOLES.
