Chevrolet’s
popular 396-427-454 “big block” engine is used in
many forms of motorsports, including drag racing, tractor pulling
and marine competition. Aviaid has been at the forefront of developing
lubrication systems for this engine since “day one,” and
manufactures a full compliment of pumps, mounts, drives, oil
pans and accessories for the BBC. The pumps can be configured
to provide the optimum amount of scavenging and oil volume/pressure
for the exact application. Aviaid also offers external wet sump
setups, as well as a selection of oil pans (such as used in off-shore
racing boats) that can be used with OEM-type internal pumps.
